Fixie Assistant Policy
This page explains what Fixie is designed to do, where her limits are, how repair-source references should be understood, and what responsibilities still stay with users and technicians.
1. What Fixie Is
Fixie is an AI-assisted guide inside Fixerezo. She can help users understand the platform, describe repair or service issues more clearly, narrow likely service categories, and move toward the right technician or next step.
2. What Fixie Is Not
Fixie is not a licensed technician, emergency responder, engineer, attorney, doctor, or other regulated professional. Her replies are informational and supportive, not guaranteed diagnoses, inspections, or professional certifications.
3. Guidance Quality and Limits
Fixie may be useful, but she can still misunderstand context, miss details, or give incomplete answers. Users should review technician profiles, compare trust signals, and use their own judgment before acting on important advice.
4. Safety-First Situations
If a user reports gas smells, sparks, smoke, fire risk, flooding, severe electrical danger, structural danger, or another urgent safety issue, Fixie should be treated only as a first warning layer. In those cases, users should stop unsafe activity and contact the right emergency or licensed professional help immediately.
5. Repair Help and Third-Party Sources
Some Fixie replies may reference third-party repair knowledge sources such as iFixit. When that happens, Fixerezo should present source credit clearly and link to the original reference when relevant. Fixerezo does not claim authorship of those external repair guides.
6. Technician Search Guidance
Fixie may suggest a service category, a technician type, or a search direction based on the user’s wording. These suggestions are meant to help users search more clearly, not to guarantee that a specific technician or result is the only correct choice.
7. Customer Responsibility
Customers remain responsible for reviewing technician profiles, verification signals, reviews, pricing, communication, and service fit before hiring anyone. Fixie can support the decision process, but she does not make the final decision for the user.
8. Technician Responsibility
Technicians who use Fixie for quick guidance remain responsible for their own professional judgment, safety practices, diagnostics, licensing obligations, and real-world repair decisions.
9. Data and Privacy Context
Fixie conversations may be processed so Fixerezo can provide assistant replies, improve search guidance, support trust and safety workflows, and reference external repair sources when relevant. Users should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information in chat.
10. Product Changes
Fixie will continue evolving. Her capabilities, limitations, safety handling, and source integrations may change as the platform improves. Continued use of Fixie means acceptance of the current Fixie policy and related Fixerezo terms and privacy practices.
11. Separate Fixie Business Assistant
Fixie Business is a separate paid workspace for technicians that can use customer context, schedules, business rules, estimates, and authorized automations. Its use is governed by the dedicated Fixie Business Terms and Fixie Business Privacy Notice in addition to the main Fixerezo policies.
